Sinclair's flop makes a fortuneDAILY MAIL, 26 OCTOBER 1996 A BUSINESSMAN has made a fortune out of the ill-fated Sinclair C5 electric buggy by marketing it as a collector's item. Maurice Levensohn, 60, from Liverpool, says he has sold nearly 7,000 of the trikes at up to £700 each after buying up unsold stock. The C5 flopped when it was launched by inventor Sir Clive Sinclair in 1985. |
