Sinclair's flop makes a fortune

DAILY MAIL, 26 OCTOBER 1996

------------------------------------------------------------

A BUSINESSMAN has made a fortune out of the ill-fated Sinclair C5 electric buggy by marketing it as a collector's item.

Maurice Levensohn, 60, from Liverpool, says he has sold nearly 7,000 of the trikes at up to 700 each after buying up unsold stock. The C5 flopped when it was launched by inventor Sir Clive Sinclair in 1985.
